Italy and Belgium in the Final Four of the Nations League. Italy beat Bosnia by two goals to nil. The Belgian team beat the Danish by four goals to two. Spain and France also finalists.  The semifinals will take place on October 6 and 7, 2021, and the final on the 10th.

After the matches played last night, the names of the four teams that will play in the Final Four of the UEFA Nations League are already known. Spain, France, Belgium and Italy, group leaders, are the semifinalists. Six days of heart attack, surprises and disappointments in a competition marked by the coronavirus crisis. The UEFA Executive Committee will announce on 3 December where the remaining matches of the competition will be played. A priori, Italy will be the chosen country. France, Spain, Belgium and Italy will meet their opponents in the semi-finals on the same day 3 December.

Semifinalists: Spain, France, Italy and Belgium

With 16 points and after having beaten the Swedish team by four goals to two, France secured another place for the Nations League semi-final. Italy defeated the Bosnia team by two goals to nil. Very important victory for Roberto Mancini’s team. With 12 points, one more than the Dutch team, third finalist. The Dutch team, despite beating Poland, second in Group 1.

Belgium, the fourth finalist came out of Group 2. Roberto Martínez Monto, Belgian coach, very proud of his players. The Belgian team thrashed Denmark by four goals to two.

Group promotions and demotions

France, Spain, Italy and Belgium in the Final Four of the Nations League, but not all are joys for the international teams. They go down to League B, Sweden, Bosnia and Iceland. Due to the pandemic, the match between Switzerland and Ukraine had to be suspended, and one of those countries also descends from the group.

Instead, teams from Wales, Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic have been promoted to the UEFA First Division.
