La UEFA Euro 2020 se celebrará entre el 11 de junio y el 11 de julio de 2021

UEFA Euro 2020 will be held from June 11 to July 11, 2021. 24 European teams will seek to be the European champions and wrest the reign from Portugal. England will face Croatia, Scotland, Czech Republic. Scotland, North Macedonia, Slovakia and Hungary will also be part of Euro 2020 after winning the play-offs.

The COVID-19 crisis prevented it from being held on schedule and postponed to 2021. UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin then explained that “you cannot hold a pan-European football festival in empty stadiums, with abandoned areas , while the mainland sits at home in isolation. We cannot celebrate the 60th anniversary of the competition like this. ”

For the first time in history, the competition will have twelve host cities to celebrate the 60-year history of UEFA Euro. The cities chosen are: London (England), Baku (Azerbaijan), Munich (Germany), Rome (Italy), Saint Petersburg (Russia), Amsterdam (Holland), Bilbao (Spain), Bucharest (Romania), Budapest (Hungary) , Copenhagen (Denmark), Dublin (Ireland), Glasgow (Scotland).

The EURO 2020 mascot is Skillzy. This character is inspired by street football and freestyling.
