Opening match between Turkey and Italy
Euro 2020 is already a reality. Tonight the teams of Turkey and Italy will meet at the Olimpico in Rome in the opening match at 9:00 p.m. A game full of emotion that will return the magic, the spectacle and the fans to the stands. The Italian coach, Roberto Mancini, will try to keep his team undefeated after 27 games without losing. It is the fifth time that Turkey has participated in a European Championship and is seeking its first victory in a debut.
The Portuguese team was proclaimed champion of Euro 2016 after beating the French team by a goal to nil. Portuguese FC Lokomotiv Moscow player Éder scored the winning goal already in the second half of extra time. For the first time in history, the Portuguese country rose as the best team in Europe.
Spain had previously done so after winning Euro 2012 and 2008. Two years earlier, in 2010, Vicente del Bosque’s team achieved another sporting milestone by proclaiming themselves world champions in Johannesburg. A goal by Andrés Iniesta against the Netherlands gave victory to the Spanish people.
60 years of history

The group stage, eighths and quarters will be played in Spain (Seville), Scotland (Glasgow), Denmark (Copenhagen), Hungary (Budapest), Romania (Bucharest), Holland (Amsterdam), Italy (Rome), Germany (Munich) , Azerbaijan (Baku), Russia (Saint Petersburg).
