
Mariano Díaz tests positive on COVID-19. The Real Madrid player has tested positive for the coronavirus test. The striker will miss the second leg of the Champions League against Manchester City scheduled for August 7.
Currently the white player is isolated at home, without having contact with the rest of his teammates and where he must remain throughout the quarantine. Mariano Díaz has wanted to thank the support received from his followers and has sent a message on his social networks, “I appreciate the support, I’m fine thanks to God” and he hopes “I can help the team as soon as possible”.
Real Madrid has issued a statement, “after the COVID-19 tests carried out yesterday on an individual basis on our first soccer squad by the Real Madrid Medical Services, our player Mariano has given a positive result. The player is in perfect health and complying with the sanitary isolation protocol at home”.

The Spanish team is exempt from quarantine and can play the game against Manchester City without isolation for two weeks.
The British Government has established an exception in its own rule to allow sporting events to be played without quarantine. Thus the events of Champions, the British Grand Prix of Formula 1 and a series of international cricket matches are exempt from quarantine.
